Trader Joe’s Pepita Salsa Review

Trader Joe’s pepita salsa is a must-buy! It boasts sweet and spicy vibes with roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and roasted pepitas. Pour it on anything and everything to amp up the flavor. 10/10

Trader Joe’s Pepita Salsa Rating:

I was perusing the salsa section and I noticed a tag that read “Voted the best salsa from TJ’s employees.” So I grabbed a jar and now I’m hooked. Do yourself a favor and buy three jars.

I dump Trader Joe’s pepita salsa on everything! Hummus, burgers, turkey burgers, bowls, tacos, chips, veggies.

a chip full of salsa.

It adds a spicy kick and bright acidity. Red bell peppers add natural sweetness and chipotle powder packs in a little heat.

If you strictly stick to mild salsa, I would skip this one. Otherwise it’s a must-have!

  • Rating: 10/10 – Highly recommend!
  • Kid-friendly rating: 7/10 – Slightly spicy, but good for kids who like heat.

Where to find it:

You can find this delicious salsa in the chip aisle. Our salsa section is at the end of the chip aisle closest to the registers.

If you can’t find it, ask a Trader Joe’s employee. I’ve found them to be super helpful!

Sometimes products are sold out. An employee can confirm this and tell you when to expect it back in stock.

Cost:

At the time of writing 1/25/24, a 12 ounce jar of pepita salsa costs 3.49.

This makes it roughly 29 cents per ounce. This makes it around the same price as a brand-name jar of salsa, like Tostito’s. I find it MUCH better though and well worth the cost.

Final Thoughts:

This is one of my favorite products at Trader Joe’s. I pick up a jar every time I’m there. It’s sweet, spicy, slightly chunky, and packed with flavor.

It’s super versatile too! You can use it to make bland food taste exceptionally better. I haven’t found a single thing it doesn’t taste good on yet (except my morning cheerios!).
